C. Lynn Heigley

February 27, 1954 - January 09, 2023

Service: Service and Interment private.

Heigley, C.Lynn
February 27th, 1954-January 9th, 2023

Age 68, of Richland Twp, formerly of Indiana Twp, was greeted by several loving hound dogs at the pearly gates on January 9, 2023. Beloved husband for 43 years of Lorraine (Sprauge) Heigley; Loving father of Katie (Heigley) Petrik, with whom he considered his little princess since the day she was born; Proud stepfather to Brian (Cathy) Lippert; Grandfather to Jennifer Lippert, Jacob Lippert, and Brantley Petrik. Preceded in death by his parents (Robert & Mary Heigley); his brother (Robert Heigley), who had his Harley Davidson revved up for him to hit those streets of gold; his son (Bobby Heigley), who he could not be prouder of in his life; and his prized bloodhound (Harley), who was truly man’s best friend. Lynn is also survived by many family and friends, including Dan & Stan, who made his time on the engine more memorable than they know. Lynn was a 6th generation railroader, known to carry the highest level of responsibility on the tracks. He worked for Conrail, which underwent ownership from Norfolk Southern Railroad during his career. There was nothing he couldn’t fix, as long as you didn’t move anything around on his workbench. His pack-rat tendencies came in handy for hundreds of school projects. In early parenthood, his time was mostly spent at The Discovery Zone or Safari Sam’s with his children. He also devoted much time to attending sporting events, concerts, and teaching the importance of sitting in silence surrounded by nature. In his retirement, he split his time up between the tree stand and the dog park, and watching western re-runs while asking Siri for “dad jokes of the day.” Lynn will be deeply missed and remembered as a strong, wise man who was successful at everything he was passionate about. Services will be private. Arrangements by Devlin Funeral Home Inc.
