Age 98, of Ross Twp., passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 8, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Wife of the late Thomas J. Remy; Loving mother of Dennis Remy (Denise), Lois Roeder (the late Robert), and Diane M. Wozniak (John); Sister of the late June Diehl; Proud grandmother of Ryan Roeder (Robin), and Aaron Roeder (Carissa), Jacqueline Conlon (Ryan), Katherine Wozniak (Max Seel), and Laura Wozniak (Caleb Garing); Cherished great-grandmother of Ava; Betty is also survived by loving friends and relatives, especially her niece Janice McWhertor and nephew David Diehl.
Betty dedicated her life to creating a warm and nurturing home for her family, instilling her strong values and religious beliefs. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family raising them to become independent and thoughtful adults. She led by example, volunteering at the local hospital and her church’s women’s sewing group. Betty was a fun grandmother who enjoyed watching the kids grow up and gave them wonderful memories of outings, holidays, and adventures over the years. Betty had an extraordinary gift for nurturing deep, lasting relationships with those around her. Her kindness and compassion touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Betty’s memory will be forever cherished by her family and friends. Her legacy as a mother and friend will endure, and her spirit will continue to inspire us all.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 9:30AM-11:00AM at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Hwy., Pgh, PA 15229. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 11:30AM at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 920 Perry Hwy., Pgh, PA 15229. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church to support the local foodbank and other significant ministries that were close to Betty’s heart.
