Bertram Jay Forsyth
Age 46, of Cranberry Twp., passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 4, 2022 after injuries sustained in an automobile accident. “BJ” was born on February 13, 1976, son of the late Bertram Johnson, and Gloria Jean (Gibson) Forsyth. BJ is survived by his beloved wife, and best friend, Jennifer (McElroy) Forsyth, whom he married on November 13, 1999; children, who he adored more than anything in the world, Braden, Ko, and Emma; sister, Malissa Joseph, and her daughter Brittany Joseph. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends who will all miss him dearly.
Said simply, BJ was the epitome of a family man. They always came first, and the unconditional love they shared is unimaginable. His positivity, kindness, protectiveness and selflessness will be missed and remembered by all who knew and loved him.
He was a very active member of Crossroads Church, where he was apart of many groups, and participated in several ways. BJ was also involved in The North Hills Masonic Lodge #716, where he was proud to be a member.
Family and friends are welcome on Thursday from 2-4, 6-8 pm at Devlin Funeral Home of Cranberry, 2678 Rochester Road, Cranberry Twp. A Funeral Service Celebrating the Life of BJ will be held Friday at 11 am at the funeral home.

Jen, Braden, Ko, and Emma my sincere condolences and prayers. I’ve had the pleasure of working with BJ when he was at 3WS/Clear Channel. He was always so positive and happy. One of the good guys. When we had a reunion/retirement party for our business manager Chuck about 6 years ago, he messaged me that he wanted to be there, but it was boys night out with his son and he was really looking forward to their night. That’s the kind of great dad he was…loved his family and family first. I’m so glad I got to stay connected with him through Facebook. Rest in Peace BJ.

I will never forget the kindness and support both BJ and Jen showed me during both of my political campaigns. My conversations with BJ always included the love he held for his family and I always admired that. He will be sorely missed and my prayers continue to be with Jen and the rest of their family, as they continue to find strength during this very heart wrenching time.
BJ was an amazing colleague during the short time we worked together. Not too long ago I reached out to him and we were able to talk shop again on social media. He will be missed by many. My sincerest condolences to his wife and children that were his world.

BJ was a part of our Friday morning Pittsburgh Experiment group who met at Cracker Barrel. It was an honor and a privilege to have gotten to know him and his family. BJ was a faithful follower. Prayers and blessings to Jen and the children during this unthinkable and painful time.
While I lived across the street in Gibsonia from BJ and Jen for years, we had the pleasure more recently to talk to BJ during a Masonic breakfast in Mars and recognized what a wonderful man he was. Our hearts and prayers are with Jen and the kids at this sorrowful time.

I am Jens hair stylist. I also styled the kids hair on many different occasions. I love you guys so much. I am so sorry for your loss. I cannot imagine the pain you all are going through. Jen, you guys were a beautiful amazing couple. What a great dad he was. He love Emma’s pink hair :). Heaven gained an Angel and I believe you guys will see him again.
