Bernard Brittner

Bernard G. Brittner, 67, died Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011, in his Warrendale home. He was the beloved husband of Linda Brittner (Yocca), loving father of Sean (Rick) and Bernie (Christine); loving stepfather of Tina DeGolier (Baltzer); devoted Pappy of Kaitlyn DeGolier; loyal brother of Frank (Marie) and Jack (Brenda); cherished son of the late Frank and Betty Brittner; son-in-law of John Yocca and the late Judy Yocca; brother-in law of Greg (Sue), Pam and the late John Yocca; and loved by his nieces, nephews, cousins and by his incredible group of friends. Bernie’s passion was his wife, family, friends, music, the East Street Historical Project, St. Anthony’s Chapel, The Bootleg Band (percussion) and the annual Brittner Fest. He was a 47-year member of Sheetmetal Workers Union Local 12, Teutonia Mannerchor, Most Holy Name Parish, and former member of the Army Reserves. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME (Ross Township), 806 Perry Highway, Pittsburgh, PA 15229-1128, 412-364-0510. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Most Holy Name.
