You have my deepest sympathy for your loss, Barb was always so kind and friendly.
Our deepest and most heartfelt sympathies to Barb’s entire family and friends. She was truly an angel on earth, and meant so much to all of us. She will be deeply missed, but never, ever forgotten!!
To the King Family, I had the sincere pleasure of working with Barb at UPMC Shadyside. Barb was a wonderful leader and mentor and respected by all. Barb had a heart as big as they come and she shared that with all those with whom she crossed paths. I will remember Barb for her genuine kindness, compassion and a smile that was contagious. May God Bless and Comfort you at this difficult time, In Sympathy and Love, Jill Kelley

My deepest sympathy to you Ed and family. I was hired under Barb and worked with her and called her my friend for years. Her courage and strength in spite of her illness was remarkable. Her sparkle and smile will remain in our hearts and minds always.
Thinking of you with love and celebrating your lovely daughters’ life on earth…
I am so sad to hear of Barb’s passing. Seems like just yesterday I was talking to her about the kids in Giant Eagle. I have known Barb for a long time. We went to high school together and was thrilled to find out we were neighbors. Barb has ALWAYS been such a beautiful soul. Her light in this world will be greatly missed by those who were fortunate to know her.
My condolences to you and your family. May she rest in peace
Ed; Our deepest condolences to you and the family on Barb’s passing. We know she fought a long and hard battle. You will be in our thoughts and prayers. God Bless
I HAD THE PRIVILEGE OF WORKING WITH BARB WHEN I WAS THE CHIEF NURSE AT UPMC SHADYSIDE. INDEED BARB WAS A NURSE TO THE CORE AND LOVED HELPING PATIENTS AND FRANKLY EVERYONE AROUND HER. SHE WAS AN INCREDIBLE MEMBER OF THE NURSING TEAM AND UPMC SHADYSIDE IS A BETTER PLACE FOR CARE AS A RESULT OF MANY OF BARB’S EFFORTS. I AM HONORED TO HAVE KNOWN HER AND WORKED WITH HER AS A FELLOW NURSE. REST IN PEACE OUR DEAR FRIEND.
Dear Ed, Patrick, Andy and Allison, We are so very sorry for your loss that words cannot even express. She meant the world to us and can’t imagine this neighborhood without her. We hope you all find comfort in knowing how much Barb (Mom) was loved and respected by so many people. She was a true angel on earth in how caring she was to everyone in her personal and professional life. You were all so blessed to have her in your life as a wife and Mother. She is now at peace and can now be your true Guardian Angel. She will truly be missed by all. Please let us know if you need anything, anytime. Love, thoughts and prayers, Dale and Ann
Barb is one of the sweetest, kindest people I will ever have the pleasure of knowing. There’s a special place for her in heaven. God bless Barb’s family and envelop them with your strength and love.
