I am so sad to hear of Barb’s passing. Seems like just yesterday I was talking to her about the kids in Giant Eagle. I have known Barb for a long time. We went to high school together and was thrilled to find out we were neighbors. Barb has ALWAYS been such a beautiful soul. Her light in this world will be greatly missed by those who were fortunate to know her.

I HAD THE PRIVILEGE OF WORKING WITH BARB WHEN I WAS THE CHIEF NURSE AT UPMC SHADYSIDE. INDEED BARB WAS A NURSE TO THE CORE AND LOVED HELPING PATIENTS AND FRANKLY EVERYONE AROUND HER. SHE WAS AN INCREDIBLE MEMBER OF THE NURSING TEAM AND UPMC SHADYSIDE IS A BETTER PLACE FOR CARE AS A RESULT OF MANY OF BARB’S EFFORTS. I AM HONORED TO HAVE KNOWN HER AND WORKED WITH HER AS A FELLOW NURSE. REST IN PEACE OUR DEAR FRIEND.
