Anthony A. Loesch

Age 90, of McCandless, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 16, 2023. Beloved husband of 67 years to Barbara (Winterberger) Loesch. Loving father of Margaret Smith (Richard), Catherine Steigerwald (Alan), Karen Fuchs (Gene), Barbara Bookser (Daniel), and Anthony J. Loesch (Trina). Cherished “Pappy” to 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Born on February 24, 1932, son of the late John and Helen (Gonlin) Loesch, brother of Helen Mihalick, Mary Lou DeLargy, and the late Sue Shapiro.

Anthony graduated from North Catholic High School and served in the U.S. Army. He retired in 1999 from PaineWebber (UBS Financial) as First Vice President of Investments after 40 years. Tony was a generous and dedicated provider for his family. He enjoyed playing cards and bowling. He continued to follow the financial markets throughout his retirement.

Family and friends are welcome on Thursday, February 23, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Devlin Funeral Home, 806 Perry Hwy., North Hills. A Blessing Service will be held Friday, February 24, at 11 AM at the funeral home, with Rev. Bob Norton officiating. Entombment will follow at North Side Catholic Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to his care team at Wexford Healthcare Center and Suncrest Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Tony’s name to Suncrest Hospice, 300 Penn Center Blvd., Bldg. 3, Suite 120, Pittsburgh, PA 15235.
