Anna Marie Catanzaro

On Wednesday, January 3, 2007, age 71 of McCandless Township. Beloved wife of the late John F. Catanzaro; mother of Jon Mark Catanzaro (Judy) of North Hills, Jeffrey Catanzaro of California, Joel Catanzaro of Wexford, Jarett Catanzaro of Gibsonia, and James Catanzaro (Becky) of Ross Township.
Anna Marie was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Anna Hofrichter, her brother Joseph Hofrichter, and brother-in-law Robert Kindermann. Survived by her sister Barbara Kindermann of Upper St. Clair, James Hofrichter (Marilyn) of Pittsburgh, William Hofrichter (Chanda) of Florida, sister-in-law Charlotte Hofrichter of Kansas, brothers-in-law Joeen Catanzaro and Emanuella Singhose, all of Oakmont. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and six grandchildren, Enrico, Bethany, Jarett, Michael, John, and Domenic.
Anna Marie recently retired as Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Education in the Diocese of Pittsburgh. She oversaw the development of twelve high schools in the diocese. Anna Marie previously taught at Elizabeth Seton High School, Bishop Guilfoyle High School, and Sacred Heart High School. She held many jobs as Assistant Principal and Coordinator of Personnel. She was principal at Sacred Heart High School and Assistant Principal at North Catholic. Anna Marie was responsible for planning curriculum, supervision, and instructional matters. She was an educational consultant working with budgets and staffing for the diocese. Anna Marie dedicated more than fifty years in Catholic Education.
Friends received Thursday and Friday 2-4 and 7-9P.M. at the T.B.Devlin Funeral Home, 806 Perry Highway, North Hills. Mass of Christian burial in St. Teresa of Avila Church Saturday 10A.M.
