Ann Baumgartner

Age 97 of Perrysville, Ross Twp. died on Sun. Oct. 3, 2010 with her family at her side. She was born June 18, 1913 to Rupert and Catherine Fischer on their farm on McKnight Rd. She attended St. Teresa of Avila grade school when it was only two rooms and graduated from Vincentian High School. Ann married Ralph Baumgartner in 1946 and were happy together until his death in 1989. After her retirement as an office manager for Monarch Marking System Co. (now Pitney-Bowes), she volunteered for meals on wheels, socialized with her friends in the bowling league, card club, AARP, and Silver Sneakers and prided herself as “the best apple pie maker in the North Hills”. Ann’s Catholic Faith was of great importance in her life and she was a dedicated volunteer at St. Teresa of Avila Church, which was the only parish she belonged to her whole life. She was a member and past officer of the Christian Mothers. Ann is survived by her daughter, Dianne (Bob) Machesney and her grandchildren, Christina and David Machesney. Ann is also survived by her sisters in law, Marie Fischer and Martha Fischer and many nieces and nephews. Ann was predeceased by her nine brothers and sisters, Teresa Irlbacher, Joe, Louise Milbert, Bill, Marie Beining, Peg Botti, Rupert, Ed, and Agnes Kirchner.
Visitation Wednesday 2-4, 7-9 PM at T.B. Devlin Funeral Home 806 Perry Hwy. Ross twp. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Teresa of Avila Church Thursday 10 AM. Contributions may be made to St. Teresa of Avila Church.
