Loving mother of Eddie, Jr. Ron, (Peggy) and Janice (Robbie). Proud grandmother of Ryan, Andrelina (Mark), Danielle, Victoria, and Brandon. She is also survived by many loving 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation nieces and nephews.
She is a survivor of the Japanese occupation of the Philippines during World War II and came to the United States when she married Eddie in 1955. One of her proudest days was when she became an American citizen in 1974.
Family was at the center of her life. She was a wonderful mother and proud Navy wife. She created that safe harbor – a loving home that was always open to family and friends.
A woman of many talents – Andrelina was an excellent cook and the family loved that she put her own touch on Filipino dishes which were the first to go at family gatherings. She also loved to garden and was the envy of the family and neighborhood. All plants thrived under her care, especially her orchids. She was a big sports fan of tennis, football and especially baseball and enjoyed watching with her family.
She liked jigsaw puzzles, doing crossword puzzles and playing Scrabble. Her favorite game shows were Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.

I just accidentally learned of Ate Andreling’s passing this morning when her obit just cropped out of the blue in my iPad. Am really, truly saddened here as I’ve always regarded her as an older sister and great friend. She welcomed me with open arms to their home while I was doing my postgrad training at Harvard Medical School in Boston. I was always a house guest in their home during the holidays. My cousin Eddie Serrano and she were always kind and solicitous whenever we were together. They had the opportunity to visit us here in Cabanatuan City , Philippines and those were truly happy and memorable times for us all.it’s sad that I’ve lost contact with their beloved children Edmond, Ronnie and Janice through the years. I send them my most heartfelt condolences, belated thoughts it may be.
Requiescat in pace, Ate Andrelina.
