To Dan, Dayne and Debra…
Please accept my sympathies on your mom’s passing. I was fortunate to call Alice my ’friend’ when I met her at Haine Elementary in 1974. While I had not spoken with Alice since Connie had died, I had countless good times sitting and talking with her. We would go out to dinner with Jane Schlag (former Haine school nurse) and Kay (one of the school aides).
I was a speech therapist @ Haine and I soon got to know Alice & Connie as parents when I met their terrific son, Dayne! It was so easy to see the resemblance…the quick wit and a great laugh. Dayne, I always looked forward to my weekly time with you as we worked on your “S’ssssss”!
Your parents made outstanding contributions to the Southwest Butler County School District!!! Your Dad was highly respected as a member of the School Board; your mom was deeply appreciated by countless teachers, parents and students at Haine! It was my privilege to know them both.
I hope that Alice’s years (after her husband died) were good ones. She spoke so lovingly about her grandchildren…and she shared many special stories of raising the three of you!
Thanks for sharing your mom and dad with so many folks…it was a joy to be in their company.
May good memories help at this difficult time.

Volz Family,
Alice used to sit with us in the dining hall at Seneca Valley Jr. High School. I so enjoyed getting to know her when she worked in the tax office. She was a special lady with a great personality. She talked about Dayne all of the time. She was so proud of her family.
I just want to express my sympathy to the family. I am sure she will be greatly missed!
We will keep you in our prayers.
