Alex Alberti

Alexander Alberti, 83, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008, at his home. He was the beloved husband of Amelia Alberti, who preceded him in death in 2003. Loving father of Shirley Warrick and her husband, Jim, Rick Alberti and his wife, Colleen, Melinda Salak and her husband, Dan and Mark Alberti; most loving grandfather of Joshua Warrick and Brittany and Shane Alberti; the youngest of seven children, he is survived by his brother, Joseph Ecsedy and was preceded in death by Katherine Sabo, Stephen Ecsedy, Louis Ecsedy, John Ecsedy and Helen Carlini. He was a member of the Pittsburgh Typographical Union No. 7, he retired in 1989 from the Pittsburgh Press/Post-Gazette after 29 years of service. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at T.B. DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Highway, North Hills. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Teresa of Avila Church, 1000 Avila Court, Pittsburgh. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Teresa of Avila Church.
