Of Sherwood Oaks, formerly of Frostburg, Maryland, on Sunday, May 11, 2014. Beloved husband of 65 years to Mina (Porter) Pifalo; father of Brad Pifalo (Deborah); brother of William J. Pifalo. Francis was an automobile enthusiast, an avid water skier on Deep Creek Lake, loved classical music and the Pittsburgh Symphony, was an amateur astronomer, and was proud of his Italian heritage and loved traveling to Italy. Services and interment are private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Frostburg Public Library or the Sherwood Oaks Library.
