Beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Valerie (Clementson) Eastgate, 75, of Cranberry Township, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, May 25.
Valerie was born October 13, 1949, near Newcastle upon Tyne, England, the daughter of the late John G. Clementson and Joyce Robinson Clementson. She is survived by her sons Gavin (Heather) Eastgate and Graeme Eastgate (partner Kristy M.), her grandsons Nathan, Noah and Owen Eastgate, as well as Owen’s mother, Nicole DiLorenzo.
One of the early founders and board members of Cranberry Soccer Club (now Seneca Valley Soccer Association) and the Seneca Valley Boys Soccer Boosters, “Grandma Val” as she came to be affectionately known in the soccer community, was a regular fixture at her sons’ and grandsons’ games over the years. She was an avid reader, supporter of Newcastle United and the Pittsburgh Penguins, and loved dogs, music, game shows, and gardening. She would do anything for her family and friends and will be dearly missed.
Consistent with Valerie’s wishes, a memorial will be private to family and close friends. Professional services will be provided with compassion by the Devlin Funeral Home of Cranberry Township. The family suggests memorial contributions to the AHN Cancer Institute.
