Thomas H. Way, age 88, of Freedom, passed away peacefully while under the loving care of Concordia of Cranberry with his loving wife by his side on October 6, 2026, Born on September 30, 1938, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Tom led a life marked by a devotion to his Catholic Faith, dedication, family, and a successful career in sales within the industrial tools industry.

Tom is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Stuebgen-Way, whom he married on October 25, 2003. He was a loving father to Thomas M. Way, Melissa Hutchins (Troy), and Christopher H. Way (Stacy), as well as a cherished step-father to Amy (Ronald) Taylor and Lisa Schaney. He will be deeply missed by his siblings, Margaret Ann (Steve) Ainey and Mary Lou (James) Hammett, and was preceded in death by his sister Donna and late wife Marion Way.

As a proud grandfather, Tom held a special place in the hearts of his grandchildren: Austin (Amber), Tyler, Patraic (Karlie), Rian, Sean, Brendan, Rauri, Izabel, Briana, Maura, Marshall, Clark, and Oliver alongside his late grandchildren Coilin and Connor. Additionally, he was a devoted great-grandfather to six.

Tom graduated from North Catholic High School and was a 1963 graduate of Duquesne University before going on to proudly serve in the US Navy. Tom was a 4th degree Knight serving with the Joseph P. Newell Knights of Columbus Council at St. Ferdinand’s Church, where he also served as a Eucharistic Minister. Until recently, he volunteered weekly with the Zelienople and North Country Meals on Wheels. A true Pittsburgh man, he loved watching the Steelers play, but his heart remained loyal to the Pirates, always hoping that this would be the year. As active as he was in his community of faith and friendships, his devotion to his children and grandchildren was evident. No matter the location he was cheering on his children and grandchildren in their many sports and various activities through the years.
In retirement, he treasured the time he shared with his Patty. They enjoyed traveling together, from long getaways to short adventures, always making memories along the way. He also found great joy on the golf course, where he spent many happy hours with his friends and his dear brother-in-law enjoying one of his favorite pastimes.

Tom was a true gentleman who saw the goodness in everybody. He is leaving behind a legacy to always trust in God, put family first, and to live with generosity.
