Devika Addis Allingham, a beautiful soul, passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 18, 2025, at the age of 49. Her husband, Philip Allingham (54), and daughters, Addis (25) and Eleanor Chelan (10), are heartbroken by the sudden loss of their beloved wife and cherished mother. All who knew her will forever miss her abundant kindness and boundless love for life.

Born in San Francisco, California, and raised in Aurora, Colorado, Devika’s life path led her back to San Francisco (to marry Philip) and ultimately, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she found a community that brought her peace and joy.

Devika held a deep reverence for and connection to Mother Earth and the natural world, especially plants. It was no secret that Devika’s spirit danced joyously when tending her garden. Life and light followed her: her smile and touch soothed and healed. Her quiet strength and selfless devotion bestowed countless blessings to all those around her.

Devika is survived by her husband, her two beautiful daughters, her sister and closest friend, Marcelia Stokes, her father, Elliott Stokes, and her mother, Sylvia Johnson.

Public visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2025, between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. at Devlin Funeral Home, 806 Perry Hwy, Pittsburgh, PA 15229, United States. A more formal ceremony will take place the following day, Monday, July 28, 2025, at 11:30 am, also at Devlin Funeral Home.
