I have known Jan for so many years. We both were members of Nativity Church. She was a member of the choir and her beautiful singing voice stood out.
When Jan became the principal at Seville, I had the honor of being her first secretary. I was fortunate to see first hand her unique way of being the best caregiver of students and staff alike. Her love of family and of teaching was evident each and every day. Her journey on earth might be over, but will never be forgotten!
My sincere condolences to Jan’s entire family.

Jas was the professional of professionals. An outstanding teacher who shared her enthusiasm with everyone around her. She was a dedicated Principal that was respected by students, staff, and the Seville Community. She left the world a better place for all of us.
God bless you, Jan. I have always missed our morning conversations.

As my colleague at Highcliff and then my principal at Seville, Jan was a strong advocate for her students. She filled their shoes left outside of the classrooms with candy at Christmas time. She fully supported the creation of butterfly gardens at Seville and enthralled the students with a live display of the transformation of a chrysalis into a monarch butterfly. Imagine how excited the children were to get to school every day to observe the process! When the butterfly appeared, one little guy exclaimed, “This is the best day of my life!!”
Thank you for all that you did for your students and staff, Jan, and may you now RIP.
