Victoria Mary Ruprecht, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away surrounded by family on May 12, 2025, at the age of 79.

Born on September 30, 1945, in Pittsburgh, PA. She was the daughter of the late Lawrence Ward Sr. and Catherine Ward of Pittsburgh, PA. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Frederick Ruprecht, Sr., and her cherished children: Ralph Ruprecht, Frederick Ruprecht, Jr. (Paula), Heather Tammariello (Daniel), and Samuel Ruprecht. Victoria was also a proud grandmother to Allison, Maura, Natalie, Jordan, William, and Robert.

Victoria was preceded in death by her brother, Lawrence Ward, Jr., and daughter-in-law, Tammy Ruprecht. She is survived by her sister, Kathleen Welfer, and many loving family members and friends.

Victoria truly embodied the phrase “there are no strangers here, only friends you haven’t met yet.” She offered kindness and friendship to those she met along her journey, continuously trying to put herself into the shoes of others, while also opening her heart to them. She never deviated from this mindset despite hardship or the risk of being vulnerable. Victoria enjoyed spending time laughing with friends, taking care of her family, and especially doting on her grandchildren. She hung a copy of the Irish Blessing (below) on her wall and faithfully believed we would meet again.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Devlin Funeral Home, 806 Perry Hwy, Pittsburgh, PA 15229. A service will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at 10:30 AM, also at Devlin Funeral Home, followed by lunch.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Victoria to the Alzheimer’s Association of Pittsburgh, either by mail: 2835 E Carson St, Suite 200, Pittsburgh, PA 15203, or online: https://www.alz.org/pa

May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand.
