Carol A. Ruffolo, 90, of Indiana Township, formerly of West View Borough, passed away after a short illness on, May 5, 2025. Born August 4, 1934, to Dorothea and Carl Meckler, step-daughter of Adam Roll in Pittsburgh, PA. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph R. Ruffolo and loving mother to Marianne T. Stewart (James), Joseph R. Ruffolo, Jr. (Sandy) of Rogersville, TN, and Anthony R. Ruffolo (Cristina). Grandmother to Thomas Stewart, Clarissa Stewart, Andrew Ruffolo, Russell Ruffolo (Maia), Nina Ruffolo, and Rachel Garay (Edgar). Great-grandmother to Abby Garay and Noah Garay. Her sisters, Evelyn Roeser and Susan Mikulla, and daughter-in-law, Linda Ruffolo (Joseph), preceded Carol in death.
Carol graduated from St. Benedict’s Academy in 1952. She worked at Bell Telephone until her marriage to Joe in 1958. Later, when the kids were older, she worked in the cafeteria at North Hills High School, as a hostess at Max and Erma’s Olde Allegheny Tavern on the Northside, and as a billing clerk at Allegheny General Hospital. Carol, a voracious reader, also enjoyed watching the Pirates, Steelers, and Penguin games. She loved attending the various sporting events and concert performances of her grandchildren.
