Catherine (Kit) Marie Staub
Age 97, of Seven Fields, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Sunday, May 15, 2022. Born May 12, 1925, daughter of the late Frank and Marie (Schenker) Calcagno; loving wife of the late Wilbert (Wib), beautiful mother of Cheryl (Fred) Samson, and their children, Jeff (Beth) and Greg; Darlene (Chuck) Staub, and their children, Bradley, Jonathan (Ray), Lauren (Justin); and Andrea (Mike) Wheeler, and their son Jim (Diana); cherished great-grandmother of Evan, Connor, Emma, Parker, Aiden, and Eliana; sister of Lois (the late Art) Page, and her brother, the late Frank Calcagno.
She met the love of her life, they were married for 54 years, and together they raised a beautiful family. The highlight of her life was watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow. They were blessed to call her “GiGi.” Besides spending time with her family, Kit spent countless hours volunteering with the Living Stations Ministry, Comfort Blankets, and the church. She loved to travel with her husband and friends too.
Family and friends are welcome on Wednesday from 4-8 pm at Devlin Funeral Home of Cranberry, 2678 Rochester Road, Cranberry Twp. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 10 am at St. Kilian Church, with Rev. Charles Bober officiating. Private internment will be held at Allegheny County Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Catherine’s name to the Saint Kilian Living Stations Ministry or Shriner’s Hospital.

Cheryl,Andrea,Darlene, So very sorry about Aunt Kit. I know your hearts are broken but just keep her loving memories in your thoughts. She is at peace with Uncle Wib.I’m sure that reunion was beautiful. Our thoughts and prayers and love, Kathy, Joe, Justin
My dear Kit, I was blessed to hug you one last time on Good Friday at the Living Stations prayer service. Dressed to the hilt, makeup done to perfection and a smile only possible with the light of the Holy Spirit. You were loved and admired by all. A life well done. Heaven will be graced with your spunk.

Dear Andrea and Family: I am so saddened to hear the passing of Kit. She was a beautiful lady inside and out. The Comfort Blanket Ladies will miss her terribly, but I know she is at peace in Heaven with your Dad. Love and Blessings to all of you.
So happy to have had Kit as a personal friend for so long. Loved talking to her on the phone when she’d call to check up on me. She was always so classy looking and just a real Lady!

Andrea and family, we are saddened to hear of Kit’s passing. She was such a kind and gentle soul. She lived with an Invincible Spirit and she held the dubious honor of being our band’s oldest fan! We are glad that she is reunited with your dad tonight. Peace
I’m going to miss Kit’s laughter; stories; sharing Monte Cello’s MB casserole and orange candy slices; watching Hallmark Movies & Penguin & Pirate games & game shows; shopping at Talbots; hearing about all the designers on QVC; and on and on!
What a wonderful life she lived!
