Paul David McGuire

March 17, 1958 - August 27, 2020


Paul David McGuire, loving son and brother, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2020, at the age of 62. He was born on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, 1958.

Paul is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Kuhn McGuire; by his brothers and sisters, Robert (Patricia) McGuire of Slippery Rock, Diane (Joseph) Kostka of Natrona Heights, Daniel McGuire of Allison Park, and Catherine McGuire of Annapolis, MD; and by his niece Julia and nephews Ben, Tim and Will. He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Paul McGuire.

Paul was special in many ways. He attended Cumberland Hills School and later worked at a sheltered workshop. He loved playing records, helping with the laundry, and listening to Pirate games on the radio. He had the sharpest memory and enjoyed celebrating birthdays and holidays. He was dearly devoted to his mother and father.

For many years Paul was a member of TRY Special Needs, an organization that provides therapeutic recreational programs to youth and adults with special needs. He had many TRY friends and enjoyed bowling, summer day camp, and holiday dances.
