Patricia Frenz

March 27, 1945 - April 15, 2016

Born March 27, 1945, of New Sewickley Twp., longtime resident of Bradford Woods, PA, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2016, after a courageous two and a half year battle with pancreatic cancer. Daughter of the late Jack and Marie Ferranti of Avalon, PA. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Dean A. Frenz; loving mother of Timothy Dean (Heather) Frenz and Scott Michael (Sondra) Frenz; loving grandmother to Brian, Allison, Kevin, and Luke Frenz; sister of Jack R. Ferranti. Patti enjoyed her days at Avalon High School where she met her husband, Dean. After high school she worked for Duquesne Light until after the birth of her first son. She then decided to stay home and raise her two boys. She excelled in her role as wife, mother and grandmother. She liked nothing better than being with her family and friends. Especially when that meant being with her grandchildren. She will certainly be missed by her friends and family. Friends will be received at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME OF CRANBERRY, 2678 Rochester Rd., Cranberry Twp., PA, (724) 772-8800 on Saturday 6-8 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the mausoleum at Allegheny County Memorial Park. Everyone please meet at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice, 3500 Brooktree Rd., Wexford, PA 15090.

So very sorry to read about Patti. For many years, Dean & Patti were part of the L.B.Foster group that included my parents. Few LBF events went by without some kind of story about Patti’s enthusiasm & zest for life. She was a true partner to Dean throughout his career. My husband and I also enjoyed seeing Patti & Dean at hockey games back in the Civic Arena days. Condolences to all of you.
