John Edward Boddy (Ed), 82, of Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, died at his home on March 28, 2015.
Ed is survived by his wife Joan of 51 years; son, Brad (Susan) Boddy; brothers, David (Jean) Boddy and Eric (Mary Lynn) Boddy; grandchildren, Megan and Jason Boddy; nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his son Chris Boddy. Ed was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and friend to all.
Ed worked as a CPA for the City of Detroit for over 30 years before retiring to Cedar, Michigan in 1988. As a young man, Ed played sports of all kinds. Ed’s favorite hobbies, later in life, included playing golf and pool, playing cards, and watching sports of all types.
A memorial service for Ed will be at Dutilh United Methodist Church in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania on Saturday, April 18 at 12:30 PM with lunch following. Visitation will be held from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
