EDWARD FRANK
Age 90 of Ross Twp., passed away on Thursday October 16, 2014. He was born on July 14, 1924 in Lyndora , Pa. to Gustav and Elisabeth (Shifkovitz) Prem. He served his country in WWII a member of the US Army 85th Infantry Div. in Italy until the end of the war. Upon returning to Pittsburgh, Ed worked as an electrician and retired as head electrician at Nabisco Co. in 1987.
Ed married his beloved wife, Ann Boelky in 1950. They were happily married for 39 years, until Ann’s death in 1989. Ed was a lifetime member of the Teutonia Mannerchor, where he brought joy to the Friday lunch crowd, singing and playing his accordion. Ed loved music and dancing and remained very active for his whole life. Ed is survived by his daughter, Suzanne (Maury) Balik of Cary, NC, Edward (Diane) Prem of Allison Park, and Jeffrey (Marcy) Prem of Franklin Park. Seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Alex, and Jonathan Balik, Remy, Evan, Eli, and Owen Prem. He is also survived by a brother, Albert Prem of West View and a dear friend Dolores Rak of Shaler.
Visitation Sunday 2-4, 6-8 PM at the Devlin Funeral Home, Inc. 806 Perry Hwy. North Hills. Services in St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, West View, Monday at 10:00 AM. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Interment will follow in Mt. Royal Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.
Susie, Eddie and Jeffry so sorry to hear about your Father. I remember all of you from our Holly Hill days. I can’t believe it was just a week and half ago we were at Devlin for Mom. My sympathies. Denise
