Dr. Thomas L. Perkins, 71, of Bradford Woods, died Sunday, June 7, 2009. He was the beloved husband of Susan (Baker) Perkins; loving father of Dr. Gretchen P. (Michael) Vollmer, Dr. Thomas P. (Loraine) Perkins, Roger C. (Karen) Perkins, Hallie P. (J. Craig) Hammond and Grasiela (Stewart) Lindquist; dear grandfather of Thomas M., Grace, Hannah and Addison. Dr. Perkins was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, a Navy veteran, member of Dallas Lodge 221 F&AM and the Syria Shrine. He was a former member of Bradford Woods Council, Bradford Woods Volunteer Fire Department and the McCandless Rotary. He was former president and executive secretary of the Dental Society of Western Pennsylvania. Visitation from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME OF CRANBERRY, 2678 Rochester Road, 724-772-8800, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Community Church of Bradford Woods, 4836 Wexford Run Road, Bradford Woods, PA 15015, or the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, Office of Alumni Affairs and Development, Suite 400, Salk Hall, Pittsburgh, PA 15261, in memory of Dr. Thomas L. Perkins.
