George Bastyr

age 81 of Ross Twp died on 2-14-05 in UPMC Passavant Hospital, McCandless. George was born on 08-06-1923 in Pittsburgh son of the late George C and Anna Freehauf Bastyr. George Paul was a 1947 graduate of Gettysburg College, a member of Sigma Kai Fraternity. He served for 4 years in the U.S. Navy, and earned his Masters Degree from the University of Pittsburgh. George was also a professor of Economics at Gettysburg college and Duquesne University, and officer and owner of J.A.H. Junker Inc Leather Company until retirement.
Beloved Husband of 52 years to Ruth (Rossen) Bastyr. Uncle of William L. Rossen and Barbara C. Rossen.
Visitation Tues 7-9 PM and Wed 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Devlin Funeral Home, 806 Perry Hwy. Ross Twp. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Teresa Church, Thurs At 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in North Side Catholic Cemetery
