Age 77, of Franklin Park, died on Sun 06-19-2005. Beloved wife of Howard, Sally is also survived by her son Anders and his wife, Eileen of Bellevue, brother of Paul Baldwin of Wisconsin Dells, WI., sister Jean Mallette of Milford, CT and grandchildren Dana of Cleveland and Eric, a student at West Chester University and nieces and nephews. Sally’s career as a distinguished regional artist began at Pratt Institute in New York City. She worked as a painter and later moved toward fiber as a medium. Her weavings, applique wall hangings and sculptural baskets are in many corporate and private collections. Sally was a member of the Craftsmens’ Guild of Pittsburgh, The Weavers Guild, Pittsburgh Society of Artists and the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh. She was a founding member of of the North Hills Arts Center.
There will be a short memorial service on Thursday June 30 beginning at 7:00 PM. Friends will be received until 9 PM at the Devlin Funeral Home, 806 Perry Highway, Ross Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Passavant Hospital Foundation, 9100 Babcock Blvd., Pittsburgh, PA 15237.
