Joanne (Geithner) Roman, age 83, of North Hills, formerly of Pittsburgh’s North Side; Beloved wife for 65 years of Francis A. “Chick” Roman; Mother, grandmother, great grandmother, passed away with her family surrounding her on Saturday, April 14, 2018; Loving mother of Cindy Cancelliere (John), Patti Ann Thomas (Dave), Franny Hawbaker (David), Michael Roman (Rose), Pamela Roman (Jeremiah), and David Roman (Brian Mowry); Proud grandmother of Gina (Vivek), Sam (Jennifer), Philicia, Alex, Eva (Brett), Mia, Francis (Yulia), Bethany (Jerry), and Emily; Devoted great grandmother of Camilla, Francesca, Cynthia, Sebastian, Samantha, Connor, Peyton, and Dimitry; Sister of Nancy Wauchter; Also survived by many loving relatives and friends; Joanne will always be remembered for her multiple creative ways, her zest for life and her compassion for others. Above all, her support and love for her family; Friends will be received on Tuesday from 9:30am until time of Mass at 11AM at Little Sisters of the Poor, 1028 Benton Ave., Pgh, PA 15212. Joanne and her husband were proud owners of Chick’s Copper Mug for over 30 years. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Little Sisters of the Poor, 1028 Benton Ave., Pgh, PA 15212.
